Promoted by LMG4 minute read

From peer group learning to ‘always-on’ online studies, LMG is reshaping how everyone in broking develops and improves, regardless of their experience or focus.

At LMG, business owners can choose between different business plans to suit their ambitions and point in their business’ life cycle.

But whatever they choose, they still have access to LMG’s innovative learning and development ecosystem. That includes education modules and qualifications through the innovative Brokerversity platform, daily online training, professional development days and interactions with other like-minded members for peer-to-peer support.

It’s all part of LMG’s promise to be the home of the most qualified brokers.

Brokerversity - the new home of industry education

Brokerversity is LMG’s always-on, end-to-end digital training academy and platform. It’s flexible, with a combination of daily training or self-paced learning.

It’s a comprehensive, multi-solution platform designed to make learning easy, including:

  • a personalised dashboard;
  • CPD point tracking for courses;
  • access to industry education events and communities;
  • new and enhanced topic-focused courses for all skill and experience levels and any finance and mortgage broker industry professional.

The industry-built Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40821) and Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (FNS50322) are more than just a piece of paper. LMG has partnered with Entry Education (RTO41529) to prepare students for brilliance from day one in the Mortgage and Finance Broking industry.

To the end of November, 4500 courses were completed on the platform.

Over 2024, there’s a lot more planned:

  • Customised and pre-built learning plans and course bundles;
  • CPD points tracked for time spent and events attended (currently only available on courses);
  • Industry education news and update feed with posts;
  • More features on the personalised dashboard.

Daily training to keep brokerages ahead of the curve

One of the legacies of Covid-19 are LMG’s daily online learning sessions, the Daily Thrives. Held on Monday to Thursday each week, members log on to an online webinar at lunchtime (AEDT) where subject matter experts deliver a deep-dive into a host of issues ranging from updates on MyCRM to new lender panel additions, compliance tips, CSM support and other topics that drive improvements.

Like-minded communities that help members level-up

LMG recognises the opportunities that are offered by bringing together professionals with similar interests, ambitions and at similar points in their career. It creates a community where everyone grows.

At LMG, there’s a community for everyone:

  • Leading Ladies - the industry’s pre-eminent support network for females in broking comes together for inspiring events and to discuss issues affecting them professionally and personally;
  • Best Interest Mates - tackling the stigma of men’s mental health with fitness or a coffee followed by non-work related discussions;
  • Young Business Owners - business owners aged under 35 who are on growth trajectories, sharing ideas on how to best sustain growth and scale;
  • Client Success Manager - the backbones of brokerages, CSMs come together to support each other in their own development, sharing best practice tips for productivity and MyCRM;
  • Finclude - these thought leaders are paving the way forward for the industry through innovation and technology.
  • Asset Finance Club and Commercial Connect Circle - specialist communities for brokers involved in asset and commercial finance, discussing trends in the sectors;
  • PLAN, Choice & FAST Alumni - an opportunity for the members of the former aggregation networks to maintain long-held relationships whilst being part of LMG, Australasia’s largest aggregation network.

Events that inspire and celebrate

Over 2024, LMG has planned 380 face-to-face events.

In addition to regular professional development events in March and November that supports the development of members and thor brokerages, LMG will also hold its first-ever group recognition events:

  • Top 100 business owners ranking and event in February;
  • Top 250 broker event in June;
  • LMG’s first-ever group awards night in Melbourne in August.

A team of true specialists in education

LMG has specialists, not generalists, across its corporate team so brokers receive the very best support.

Leading the learning and development program is National Director-Broker Education, Louise Rainger. Ms Rainger brings to the program 17 years of experience in education, rising to become General Manager of international education franchisor Kumon’s US base. Before joining LMG this year, Ms Rainger spent three years as National Strategic Partnerships Manager at Commonwealth Bank.

It’s this specialist expertise that LMG is leveraging to deliver programs that are engaging, rich with content and inspire critical thinking that is needed in the modern workplace.
