Better Choice Home Loans has announced the appointment of three new business development managers across the country in a bid to increase broker support.

Mortgage lender Better Choice Home Loans has welcomed Kathryn Whitney as a new business development manager (BDM) for the state of Queensland, as well as Sarin Karakozian as the latest BDM for NSW.

Additionally, the mortgage lender announced the appointment of Travis Rawlins as a new BDM for Western Australia, with Mr Rawlins having previously held the role of relationship manager for WA, SA and NT.

Better Choice executive director Allan Savins stated he was “very excited” about the three new “key appointments” as the group expands nationally.

“Kathryn has come to Better Choice after more than five years with the Bank of Queensland, where she was business development manager of the year in 2018.

“She has also been a business development manager with Resimac Ltd, which provides a good breath of experience across multiple asset classes.

“Sarin was previously in a broker support role with RateSetter Australia and also has administrative experience previously with Finsure.

“Travis joins Better Choice after being a business development manager with Bank of Queensland and he has also been a mobile lender for Teachers Mutual Bank Ltd,” he said.

Mr Savins noted that brokers are “in need of real solutions”, and stated that Better Choice will be announcing the appointment of another two business development managers in the coming weeks in response to increased demand from brokers.
