Better Choice Home Loans continues expansion

The mortgage lender has continued its national expansion with its third appointment in just as many weeks.

Better Choice Home Loans has announced that Paul (Max) McInerney has joined the growing team at the mortgage lender, becoming the latest addition to the sales team in Victoria.

The former national partnership manager at Loan Ave Mortgage Management will be working with relationship manager Graeme Norris in Victoria.

Mr McInerney has extensive experience in the Victorian finance market, having previously worked for Australian First Mortgage, where he was state sales manager for Victoria and Tasmania, and Firstmac.

Speaking of the new appointment, Better Choice Home Loans’ chief operating officer, Natalie Sheehan, commented: “The strength of our sales team is predicated upon the experience of our relationship managers in dealing with multiple funders and offering solutions across a diverse range of scenarios.

“Max brings to Better Choice a wealth of knowledge within the multi-funder mortgage lending space, and he is well known for building strong relationships with brokers over many years.”

Ms Sheehan noted that the new appointment will help build Better Choice’s sales team in “what is looking to be a record-breaking finish to the financial year for Better Choice”.

Following the announcement of his appointment, Mr McInerney said: “At the end of the day, my role is all about building long-term relationships with brokers and always maintaining focus on the best possible customer outcome.”

The new appointment comes as the company expands its support team across the country, having recently appointed Simon Adler as state manager for New South Wales and Perth-based Paul Grant as the new relationship manager for South Australia, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

The expansion to the team follows on from Better Choice’s recent acquisition of Queensland-based financial services group Nationalcorp Home Loans.

Last year, the non-bank lender also consolidated Iden Loan Services, Future Financial and Pioneer Mortgage Services under the Better Choice brand.
