The aggregator has set out a roadmap for its broker platform, with a focus on reducing admin, streamlining workflows, and enabling brokers to manage more of their business.
Connective has outlined what brokers can expect from the next phase of its Mercury Nexus platform, with its 2026 roadmap highlighting the aggregator’s key areas of focus.
The aggregation group said it plans to build on recent enhancements to reduce repetitive admin, improve data accuracy, and streamline broker workflows, with a view to make the core system “more intelligent, more connective and more useful across the full client lifecycle”.
According to the group, the next phase of the roadmap will focus on workflow automation, client follow-ups, scheduling support, proactive alerts, and delivering a more complete view of customer relationships within the platform.
Chin Hui Yeo, the aggregator’s chief technology officer, said the updated roadmap reflected a broader shift in how broker technology needs to evolve.
“Brokers do not need more disconnected tools or more noise layered over the top of their business. They need the primary platform at the centre of their workflow to do more, connect more and remove more of the repetitive work that slows them down,” he said.
“That is where Mercury Nexus is headed. We are building towards a platform that supports brokers even more meaningfully from one stage of the client journey to the next, with automation and AI applied where they genuinely improve workflow, reduce friction and help brokers stay focused on relationships and value creation.”
Efficiency gains
Connective also shared updates on how recent technology gains improved broker efficiencies.
The aggregator said its new client portal had been adopted by more than 1,400 brokerages, with over 3,500 brokers actively using the tool for 27,000 client results, saving brokers an estimated one hour of admin time per deal.
David Decelis, managing director at Elite Finance Partners, said Nexus provides the level of system support he would expect from a modern broker platform.
“Coming from a banking background, I was used to having strong systems in place, and Mercury Nexus has absolutely delivered on that,” he said.
“It’s a true one-stop shop, everything is simple, easy to use and constantly evolving. With more enhancements coming through, it’s only going to make it even easier for us to do business and spend more time supporting our clients.”
Meanwhile, Michael Lawes of Circle Finance Group also commented on how the platform is helping improve the client experience.
“The most important thing for us is delivering a seamless client experience, and Mercury Nexus plays a big role in that,” Lawes said.
“By tailoring our workflows and tasks within the platform, we’re not only more efficient, but we’re also able to communicate more effectively with our clients. That ultimately enhances the overall experience and helps us grow our business.”
