Assetline Capital has reshaped its leadership ranks in NSW and the ACT, as demand for its specialist loans continues to accelerate.

Assetline has named non‑bank specialist Cassandra Vella as its new NSW/ACT state manager, handing her responsibility for driving growth in long‑term mortgages and short‑term bridging finance as part of a wider expansion push.

The non‑bank said Vella’s remit would centre on deepening relationships across the third‑party channel and supporting further uptake of its Horizon Mortgages and Bridging Loans products throughout NSW and the ACT.

It pointed to strong momentum in Horizon Mortgages as a key factor for influencing the appointment, noting that the product line had recorded a 105 per cent year‑on‑year increase in volumes.

Vella steps into the role with more than a decade of experience across mortgage and broker‑focused lenders, having previously worked with La Trobe Financial, RedZed, and Pepper Money.

She replaces Laura Stanley, who has been promoted to national director – private lending, as Assetline builds out its national leadership structure to support its growth plans.

‘Investing in the right people’, Assetline says

Assetline general manager of distribution and partnerships, Royden D’Vaz, said the hire underlined the lender’s focus on strengthening distribution in core markets.

“Cassandra brings deep industry experience, strong broker relationships and a genuine understanding of what brokers need from a lending partner in today’s market,” D’Vaz said.

D’Vaz linked the appointment directly to the performance of Horizon Mortgages over the past year and the need to sustain that trajectory.

“We’ve seen significant growth across Horizon Mortgages over the past 12 months, with volumes more than doubling year-on-year, and we’re continuing to invest in the right people to support that momentum,” he said.

“Her experience across both specialist and non-bank lending makes her a strong fit for Assetline as we continue expanding our presence across NSW and the ACT.”

Vella eyes opportunity in flexible lending

Vella said she was joining Assetline at a time when both the business and the wider non‑bank segment were seeing heightened interest from advisers seeking alternative structures.

“Assetline has built a strong reputation in the market for being commercial, responsive and easy to work with, which is exactly what brokers are looking for,” Vella said.

She added that she saw clear scope to build on the current growth in the lender’s core mortgage and bridging offerings.

“There is a real opportunity to continue growing the horizon mortgages and bridging loans offering across NSW and the ACT, particularly as more brokers look for lending partners who can provide flexibility and fast decision making,” she outlined.

“I’m looking forward to working closely with brokers and helping them find solutions for a broader range of customer scenarios.”
