After a strategic review, the lender has promoted from within to fill a trio of leadership positions.
Non-bank lender Thinktank has promoted staff to three newly created leadership roles in a move to strengthen broker support.
Thinktank named Joel Harrison as head of partnerships and distribution and Matt Petering as head of residential.
Harrison has been at Thinktank for more than five years, most recently as national manager – commercial partnerships. He previously spent almost a year as a senior relationship manager at Westpac and spent time as a mortgage broker at Loan Market Bendigo.
Petering was most recently a national account manager at Thinktank, before which he spent more than seven years at Westpac.
Both new hires will report directly to Belinda Wright, general manager for partnerships and distribution.
Thinktank also created a new national partnerships manager position and announced Heather Noonan would step into the role.
Noonan was previously a regional sales executive at the company.
The lender said the new role was aimed at leading engagement across aggregator partner relationships at a national level.
The three changes follow a review of Thinktank’s commercial and residential sales functions, with an eye to ensuring brokers benefit from clearer points of contact, greater accountability, and more targeted support across the lending process.
Commenting on the new appointments, Wright said: “These changes are about making it easier for brokers to do business with Thinktank.
“By simplifying our structure, sharpening our leadership focus, and creating more dedicated resources, we’re aiming to give brokers all of the support, consistency and confidence they need in order to deliver for their clients. This positions us, and our broker partners, for long-term success.”
Thinktank, which AFG owns a 32 per cent share in, generated strong lending growth in its latest reporting period, increasing its loan book 17 per cent over the financial year 2025 to $6.8 billion.
In June, aggregator Yellow Brick Road (YBR) and Thinktank announced a new white label partnership aimed at expanding the lending options available to brokers on the YBR network.
