Specialist lender drops rates

A non-bank lender has announced a special offer on its residential owner-occupied loans.

In a news update to its loan brokers at the end of last month, La Trobe Financial announced it has dropped its rates on both its residential Full Doc and Lite Doc loans.

The lender said its rates for residential Full Doc loans dropped to 3.99 for LVR of 65 per cent or less and 4.39 per cent for LVR of 80 per cent or less.

The interest rate on its residential Lite Doc loans decreased to 4.99 per cent for LVR of 65 per cent or less and 5.39 per cent for LVR of 80 per cent or less.

La Trobe Financial said its special offer also includes reduced application fees.

Full Doc loan application fees dropped to a flat fee of $995 (from 0.75 per cent of the loan amount) and Lite Doc to 0.75 per cent (from 1.25 per cent).

According to a La Trobe Financial representative, the special offer ends on 1 November 2016.
