The newly appointed broker ambassador will be tasked with bridging the gap between Cotality and the broker community.
Cotality has named Flint Group CEO Christian Stevens as the property data and analytics company's first broker ambassador.
In his new role, Stevens will act as the link between Cotality and the broker community, aiming to ensure that product development remains closely aligned with brokers’ needs.
Bringing more than a decade of experience in the mortgage and finance sectors, he will also support the adoption of technology.
Cotality said the appointment highlighted its commitment to the mortgage broking sector, and that the new role formed part of broader plans to co-design tools with brokers that support those in the industry.
The announcement comes as Chris Wagner - the company's head of broker - leaves his role after more four years with the business*.
Chris Wagner, the outgoing head of broker at Cotality, said the appointment is an important step in ensuring brokers remain central to the company’s innovation plans.
“The broker channel is evolving quickly. We want to ensure brokers have access to high-quality data, automation that works, and tools that support long-term client relationships,” Wagner said.
“Having Christian in this role gives brokers a stronger voice in how we build and refine our solutions. He knows what matters to brokers – and what doesn’t.”
Taking to LinkedIn, he reflected on his journey at Cotality, highlighting the transformation of the customer acquisition team from a small group of five focused solely on real estate into a high-performing team of 10 now driving growth across multiple verticals and solutions. He said his key achievements included the revival of the mortgage broker segment for the company, which has reportedly seen greater brand awareness, a sharper value proposition and stronger industry uptake, resulting in significant portfolio growth.
Describing Cotality as a place of “growth, challenge and deep collaboration,” the executive said he was grateful for the experience and excited about the next chapter.
Lisa Jennings, executive for corporate business development at Cotality, welcomed the appointment of Christian Stevens, saying it signals a clear intent to develop solutions with brokers.
“We’re delighted to welcome Christian as our broker ambassador. His deep experience in the broker market brings a valuable perspective to our product development process,” Jennings added.
“His insights are already helping us test assumptions, validate ideas and stay focused on what brokers really need to succeed. It’s a true partnership.”
Commenting on the new role, Stevens said: “We’ve built our business on data – it’s how we give sound mortgage advice and help clients make informed property decisions.
“Cotality’s tools make that easier. The data is accurate, easy to use, and aligned to how brokers actually work – not how a platform thinks they should.
“This role is about making sure technology serves brokers, not the other way around.”
Cotality is in the midst of launching a new range of tools designed to help brokers manage the home lending process and reduce manual tasks, such as by streamlining preparation and settlement processes.
The suite of tools is being rolled out nationally, with support available for brokers and aggregators.
