Nominations for The Adviser’s Better Business Awards 2019, made possible through the support of principal partner NAB, are now officially open.
The Better Business Awards, now in its sixth year, is the first universal industry program for state-based performance focused on mortgage brokers and the lenders and service providers that support them.

Acknowledging the brokers who are leading the charge — those with the most effective businesses, teams, marketing strategies and integrated offerings — the awards honour the lenders and aggregator business development managers (BDMs) that are supporting brokers, too.
The event also provides a unique opportunity to celebrate the top-performing brokers in each state, those who may not always get recognition at a national level, while providing the finalists and winners with the opportunity to leverage local area marketing opportunities.
Submissions are now open for both individual and group categories across each state jurisdiction, with The Adviser making changes to the weighting of metrics to make it even easier to enter.
We’re also pleased to announce the addition of a new category, Mentor of the Year.
Awards include:

- Best Loan Administrator
- Best Newcomer
- Rising Star
- Mentor of the Year (NEW)
- Best Branded Office
- Best Independent Office
- Best Regional Office
- Best New Office
Eligibility and verification checks will be processed through Momentum Media’s research arm, Momentum Intelligence.
Participation in the Better Business Awards is open to all brokers and brokerages, regardless of whether they are aligned with a brokerage, an aggregator, a lender or an industry association.
The awards will be hosted as a dinner in each state, following the conclusion of the award-winning Better Business Conference, which delivers practical business tools, training and business intelligence to help brokers build a more productive and profitable business.

Submissions close on Friday, 23 November.
The winners of the awards will be announced at the state-based dinners between 14 February and 14 March in the following venues:
- Adelaide, 14 February – Adelaide Convention Centre
- Brisbane, 21 February – Sofitel Brisbane
- Melbourne, 28 February – Crown Melbourne
- Sydney, 7 March – Hyatt Regency Sydney
- Perth, 14 March – Crown Perth
