Australia’s brightest brokers head into round two

by Staff Reporter9 minute read

More than 50 brokers move closer to being named Australia's brightest, with round two of BrokerIQ kicking off today.

The first round of BrokerIQ, an initiative of St George and The Adviser, saw more than 700 brokers pit their wits against their peers and the clock.

Interestingly, of the hundreds of brokers who entered BrokerIQ, the question that most got wrong was “Who is the president of the MFAA?”, with most answering “Phil Naylor”.

The president of the MFAA is, in fact, Martin Leedham.

The second round of BrokerIQ will narrow the field once again, turning 70 into six.

Those top six will then go head-to-head for the title of Australia’s Brightest Broker in front of more than 400 industry guests at the Australian Broking Awards luncheon on August 2.

The Adviser group publisher Alex Whitlock said BrokerIQ showcases the quality of knowledge that brokers can provide for their clients.

“The winner will, ultimately, be the broker who has gone above and beyond to source information for their customers,” Mr Whitlock said.

Brokers who have made it through to the second round will be notified by email today.
