PLAN chief executive officer Ray Hair has announced his resignation after almost 10 years at the post.

From April onwards, Mr Hair will take up the role of chief executive officer at ALI.

Speaking about his resignation, Mr Hair told The Adviser that it was a bitter sweet decision.

“The nine and a half years I have spent with PLAN Australia have been tremendous. As such, leaving the company was a very tough decision to make. But with ALI group, I have the opportunity to be a shareholder as well as the CEO of the business," he said.

"I am excited to start in a new role and looking forward to growing another business in the industry I love – mortgage broking."

Advantedge’s general manager of distribution Steve Weston told The Adviser that Mr Hair would stay on board until 31 March, at which time his successor will be announced.
