Aggregator launches anonymous broker blog

Choice Aggregation Services has launched a new monthly blog, which will be written by an anonymous broker called Broker X.

The new monthly “insider” blog, Broker X, is a subscriber-only newsletter that will reportedly tackle issues facing brokers and offer the perspective of a broker from Choice.

According to Choice CEO Stephen Moore, the concept of the blog was designed to encourage more open conversations among the broker community.

“We have launched Broker X to create an engaged online community where brokers can debate the very real issues facing them, their customers and their businesses, without any judgement,” he said.

The identity of Broker X has been kept anonymous, which, according to Mr Moore, is vital to maintaining their “purpose and appeal”.

“We feel the anonymous nature of Broker X will allow brokers to open up and be more candid about topics they might otherwise be reluctant to bring up with peers, colleagues or other industry connections.”

Mr Moore added that the challenges presented by the current environment meant that this type of open discussion was even more important than before.

“The additional layer of complexity brought on by the current environment is understandably weighing on brokers’ minds. Opening up and sharing concerns is a powerful way of identifying positive and constructive solutions for the road ahead.”

Brokers do not need to be a member of Choice to subscribe to the Broker X blog.

The first article explores the critical role brokers play in supporting customers accessing credit but highlights contradictions that comes with more onerous processes and policies.

“It will certainly be interesting to see responses to this,” Mr Moore said.
