A Western Australia-based lender has announced changes to its business development team to strengthen its appeal to the broker network.
Keystart Home Loans has restructured its business development team, as it seeks to provide additional support, training and education to accredited brokers.
As part of its restructure, Keystart has made a title change, now referring to business development managers (BDMs) as broker relationship managers.
Further, the lender has announced the appointment of Leigh Karangaroa to the role of broker relationship manager, effective 1 February 2019.
Mr Karangaroa will serve alongside Mark Windram, who has been promoted to senior broker relationship manager.
Keystart noted that the responsibility of servicing aggregator groups will now be divided between the incumbent and the new appointee.
“This change has been implemented to ensure we can continue to effectively build and maintain broker relationships across the broker network,” Keystart’s executive manager of sales, marketing, and client services Lisa Di Cesare said in an update to brokers.
“Keystart are looking to strengthen these relationships by providing more education and support to the broker channel.
“It is our intention that in doing so, this will assist in providing a more positive experience for both the broker and our customer.”
Ms Di Cesare added: “The business development team have been making big efforts in reducing the overall deferral rate for initial submissions to us, and we are confident this change will continue this positive trend.”
