Heritage Bank has appointed a new head of broker distribution, effective immediately.
Stewart Saunders, who was most recently general manager of strategy, risk and governance for personal and business banking at Bankwest, has been appointed to the role of head of broker distribution, effective immediately.

Mr Saunders fills the void left by Michael Trencher, who left Heritage in August to start his own business coaching and consultancy practice for the mortgage and finance industry.
Prior to joining Bankwest, where Mr Saunders also previously held the role of general manager of broker sales, the new head of broker distribution served for three years as national manager for brokers at ME Bank, and he has also worked in funding and liquidity as well as financial market analysis roles.
Mr Saunders has a Bachelor of Banking and Finance from the Queensland University of Technology and an MBA from the Melbourne Business School.
