New event launched for industry’s future leaders

Brokers are encouraged to register early to enjoy a night of networking, socialising and celebrating as we reveal the top 30 brokers under 30 and announce the 2015 Young Broker of the Year.

The Adviser editor James Mitchell said the new event is an exciting opportunity to support the industry’s future leaders.

“Young brokers have always been an important focus for us but over the last 12 months we have really been championing young brokers in an industry where most mortgage professionals are in their late forties and early fifties,” Mr Mitchell said.

“We realised that our annual Young Broker of the Year ranking – where we list the top 30 loan writers under 30 – should be celebrated by the broader industry,” he said.

“The Rising Stars event is the perfect opportunity to celebrate this year’s high achievers but also get out of the office and catch up with your peers.”

In today’s rapidly changing market, with layers of complexity and compliance being added to a broker’s daily workload, little time is spent celebrating what you’ve achieved, Mr Mitchell explained.

“The Rising Stars event is a great place to share your industry insights and gather new, innovative ideas about best practice with other young brokers,” he said.
