‘We want to attract more female brokers to the FAST network’

by Staff Reporter8 minute read

FAST has revealed it wants to recruit more female brokers as its second annual Women in Finance roadshow draws to a close.

Chief executive Brendan Wright said the aggregator was committed to ensuring that women play a powerful role in the mortgage broking industry.

“We are the only aggregator to have initiated a dedicated professional development program for women and we are proud to see the initiative resonating with our female members,” he said.

“We want to attract more female brokers to the FAST network and we want our female brokers to be the industry’s most successful, and this is a key focus for us moving forward.”

Mr Wright also said the opportunities for women to play in this top tier of the industry are just as strong as they are for their male counterparts.

Women in Finance is designed to give female brokers an opportunity to network and share business tips.

This year’s speakers include Mr Wright, ING Direct executive director of distribution Lisa Claes and Citibank head of retail distribution Vibha Coburn.

The roadshow visited Melbourne on July 10, Adelaide on July 24, Perth on July 31 and Sydney on August 22, with the Brisbane visit scheduled for August 27.
