Better Business Awards nominations now open

by Stacey Moseley10 minute read

Nominations are now open for the inaugural, state-based Better Business Awards which will be held as part of the Better Business Summit from 20 February until 20 March next year.

An initiative of The Adviser and principal partner NAB Broker, the Better Business Awards seek to acknowledge those brokers who are leading the charge in their home state – those with the most effective businesses, talented team, marketing strategies and integrated offering – but also the lenders and aggregator BDMs that are best servicing brokers’ evolving needs.

According to Jim Hall, publisher of The Adviser, the awards program is aimed at recognising those brokers who are striving for broker excellence and clearly leading the way.

“Over the past seven years The Adviser has had the opportunity to work with brokers and brokerage groups across the country and it is great to be able to recognise these businesses at a state level,” Mr Hall said.

Steve Kane, general manager, distribution of principal partner NAB Broker said, “The Better Business Awards are Australia’s first universal state-based broking awards, giving both finalists and winners the ability to leverage local area marketing opportunities.”

“The awards will not only recognise those brokers who are excelling but set a benchmark for the rest of the industry to strive towards,” Mr Kane said.

The judging process will include an online questionnaire providing key business indicators and a series of open-ended questions across a range of business topics and assessment criteria.

Finalists will be selected from these submissions and winners will be announced at the state awards dinners in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth between 20 February and 20 March 2014.

Nominations close Friday November 1.
