MyState has announced the appointment of Huw Bough, six weeks after hiring another former Westpac executive, Melos Sulicich.

Mr Bough has been appointed general manager of sales and distribution, which will see him work across MyState’s retail banking brands, The Rock and MyState Financial, in both direct and broker channels.

He will also work in the Tasmanian-based lender’s wealth brand, MyState Wealth Management.

Mr Bough was previously at Westpac, where he served as general manager of RAMS Franchise Business and general manager of mortgage distribution.

His appointment comes six weeks after former RAMS chief executive Melos Sulicich joined MyState as chief executive.

Mr Sulicich welcomed Mr Bough’s appointment.

“Huw brings a considerable breadth and depth of experience that will strengthen our sales, distribution and customer service capability in both direct and broker channels, and I am confident that he will propel our efforts to invigorate our sales and customer proposition,” he said.
