Level-up at LMG with like-minded business owners

Promoted by LMG5 minute read

LMG's communities allow owners to share thoughts on scaling-up, streamlining processes, developing staff and exploring new revenue streams.

It’s better when you grow together.

Being a business owner can be lonely. Not everyone has someone they can talk to who’s on the same journey as them.

As Australasia’s largest broker family, LMG has communities for every size, skill, interest and ambition. It fosters conversations and connections for business owners who are just starting out through to owners who are planning succession.

Collaborative learning

LMG’s training and education program brings people together to learn and challenge each other.

From Monday to Thursday, anyone in the LMG network can participate in lunchtime webinars to upskill on topics such as how to be more productive with digital tools, find out about a new addition to the lender panel, improve their cybersecurity knowledge and more.

The online sessions are hosted by Brokerversity, LMG’s central learning and education platform.

Brokerversity is an innovative virtual campus that helps business owners overcome the widespread challenge of preparing and training support staff and new brokers for the financial services industry.

Brokerversity equips personnel for the end-to-end loan process with leading knowledge, best-practice compliance and Kaizen-backed efficiencies. Brokerversity also sets a platform for graduates to fast-track ambitions to broking, themselves, including a Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking and Finance.

Additionally, LMG’s businesses are also kept up-to-speed with the demands of modern broking with two Professional Development Days a year and the industry’s biggest national conference, where they learn from their contemporaries, lenders and inspiring leaders from other industries.

Experienced business owners

Every experienced business owner has a date they’re working toward. For some, that’s when their business will run productively without them being in the office everyday; for others, it’s when they’ll find someone to buy-into, or purchase, their business.

Across Australia, LMG’s Succession events help owners understand what they need to do to reach their date on their own terms. The events provide forums for business owners to discuss initiatives to strengthen their operations, identify legacies and maximise their investments outside of broking. They receive expert guidance from Loan Market’s Business Performance specialists and they can make connections with other LMG business owners who are looking to expand.

Young Business Owners

The YBO (Young Business Owners) community brings together business people aged under 35 who are hungry to grow their businesses and shake-up the customer experience.

The community examines issues that are common for young business owners:

  • Determining if PAYG employees or contractors are better for their business;
  • How to develop support staff and loan writers;
  • How and when to expand the team
  • How to be a great leader, as well as a good broker.

YBO members also get exposure to other seasoned operators in the network who share how they’ve established successful businesses.

Female business owners

The Leading Ladies community has become the industry’s most recognised forum for female brokers.

It was designed as an opportunity for female entrepreneurs to come together to drive growth and profitability in their businesses. The initiative has swelled to touch hundreds of women in our network and beyond. In an industry which has more men than women in broking, it’s become a community that helps women grow, build life-long connections and break-down barriers to success.

Asset Finance community

LMG brokers enjoy trusted relationships with their home loan clients. They’ve leveraged this trust to extend the relationships into vehicle, equipment, personal loan finance and more.

LMG Asset Finance also supports the diversification of brokers’ businesses with its Asset Finance Community.

Whether they’re experienced writers of asset finance loans or home loan specialists trying to start-out, the community supports the brokers in making their businesses stronger and more sustainable.

Commercial Finance specialists

The Commercial Connect Circle brings together LMG’s top commercial brokers from around Australia and leading commercial property agents to share ideas, workshop issues, and support each other in the specialised offering.

Client Service Managers and Loan Associates

As any business owner knows, well-trained support staff are vital for productivity. LMG’s CSM (Client Service Manager) Community allows support staff to come together with others who are in the engine rooms of their own brokerages, to share best-practice tips on MyCRM, client requests, packaging applications and more. The program includes lunchtime webinars, virtual learning campuses and in-person training sessions supporting self-improvement.

Chairman’s Club

The exclusive Chairman’s Club brings together the top 1% of Loan Market and LMG Partner businesses from around Australia.

Elite business owners have different challenges, team structures and outlooks. LMG Executive Chairman Sam White and the Executive Leadership team facilitate online gatherings, special functions, an overseas study tour and other collaborations with the business leaders so they continue to grow and set new benchmarks.

No matter what stage your business is in, LMG has a community to help you build a productive and progressive business.
