Smartline has launched a new community support program that will see the company’s franchisees assist their local sporting and charity clubs.

The program includes a $75,000 a year fund that all Smartline’s 200-plus franchisees can access to assist with local sponsorships.

Smartline managing director Chris Acret said the new “grassroots” program – which provides up to one-third of the cost of a franchisee’s community sponsorship – builds on the group’s strong national community and charitable initiatives.

“This new program is a great complement to the broader community focus that has very much a part of Smartline and its culture since the launch of our charitable fund in 2002,” Mr Acret said.

Smartline Footscray West franchisee Brian Hocking is using funds from the community support program to boost his sponsorship of the Sunshine Football Club.

“The club is extremely appreciative of the support and it’s great to be involved with an organisation which is such an important part of the western suburbs community,” Mr Hocking said.
