Auswide Bank has started the calendar year seeking to accelerate its growth in customer acquisition by launching a home loan sale. The campaign takes the Bank’s pricing to the front of the market with variable and fixed rate offers for owner occupiers and investors. It’s offering special rates for LVRs up to 90% (inclusive of LMI premium). That LVR threshold represents a significant point of differentiation in the marketplace.

Charlton Nevis, Auswide General Manager 3rd Party & Business Banking, states that the sale has already attracted increased loan submissions. “Our top broker partners have been quick to take us up on our appetite for new customer growth. The increased flows have been particularly from our top brokers in Sydney, Melbourne and Southeast Queensland.”

The Bank has been transforming its broker processing platforms since the middle of 2016. It has introduced technology upgrades and increased loan assessor numbers with the aim of delivering a stronger broker experience. The processing platform also provides scalability so timely assessment outcomes can be delivered even when the Bank is in sale mode. The Bank’s program of continuous improvement will continue to be deployed over the short term to further enhance the broker experience.

The Bank is placing effort on improving the onboarding of broker introduced customers so they can quickly and easily get accustomed to their new products and services. There is absolutely no channel conflict within Auswide Bank thereby giving brokers confidence that the Bank will always seek to protect and grow the broker’s relationship with the customer.

Auswide Bank has a strong customer satisfaction rate and in recent times has been publicly recognized and awarded for this quality. Charlton Nevis attributes this approach to the origins of the Bank. He says “the Bank commenced as a Building Society more than 50 years ago and its purpose is to make a positive difference and contribution to the communities that it serves. That DNA continues today and is fiercely protected by the Bank’s Board and Executive. We see it as our key differentiation to the major Banks.”
