The non-bank has become the latest addition to the group’s lender panel, giving accredited brokers across the SFG network access to its products.

Specialist Finance Group (SFG) has expanded the funding options available to its broker network, with non-bank lender Remara Money joining its lender panel.

SFG brokers can now access Remara Money’s residential, commercial, and SMSF lending solutions, with the family-owned aggregation group noting the lender’s willingness to help brokers navigate scenarios that fall outside traditional parameters.

Blake Buchanan, SFG general manager, said the addition would give the aggregator’s brokers greater choice and another option when structuring solutions for clients.

“At SFG, we have built one of the industry’s largest and most comprehensive lender panels, but our focus has never been on numbers alone,” he said.

“We continually assess the market to identify lenders that can provide genuine value to our brokers and their clients. Remara Money brings flexibility, commercial lending expertise and a willingness to work closely with brokers to understand the individual circumstances behind each transaction.”

Buchanan also said the partnership reflected the Perth-headquartered group’s commitment to ensuring brokers are positioned to navigate changing requirements and markets,

“Our brokers are dealing with increasingly diverse and sophisticated client needs. That requires an equally diverse panel of lenders, products and specialist support,” he said.

“We will continue investing in our panel of providers so our brokers can confidently deliver ever-evolving client solutions. The addition of Remara Money is another important step in that strategy.”

Meanwhile, Lauren Severino, Remara Money’s head of sales, said the lender was pleased to be part of the partnership.

“SFG has an outstanding reputation for supporting high-quality brokers and giving them the tools, relationships and lending options they need to grow,” she said.

“We are excited to work with the SFG team and introduce more brokers to Remara Money’s flexible and solutions-focused approach. Our team understands that many transactions require more than a standard credit response, so we work closely with brokers to properly understand the deal and identify a practical path forward.”

Severino said education and direct access to experienced lending professionals would form an important part of the partnership.

“We want SFG brokers to see Remara Money as a genuine extension of their own team – a lender they can engage early, discuss scenarios with openly and rely on for clear and responsive support,” she said.

Continued evolution

The addition of Remara Money marks the latest update to SFG’s offering.

In June, SFG named broker training and mentoring provider Mr Mentor as its new mentoring and education partner, giving SFG-accredited brokers access to what the group described as one of the country’s largest pools of active broking mentors.

Late last year, the aggregator also rolled out a major upgrade to its broker platform, unveiling SFGconnect V2. Built on the Salestrekker 2.0 ecosystem, the platform integrates artificial intelligence tools to automate compliance tasks and reduce brokers’ administrative workload.
