Platform Finance partners with SFG

by Charlotte Humphrys10 minute read

Starting this week, SFG brokers are now able to aggregate through Platform Finance and access asset finance training.

The strategic partnerships arm of COG Aggregation, Platform Finance, has partnered with aggregator Specialist Finance Group (SFG) as of Monday (3 June).

The partnership allows SFG brokers to aggregate through Platform Finance for their asset and personal finance needs, according to Platform Finance.

Damian Mantini, Platform Finance’s head of strategic partnerships, said, however, that “it goes far beyond that”.

SFG brokers are now able to access asset finance training to enhance SFG brokers’ asset finance knowledge. Platform Finance also said that it will be rolling out its solutions to SFG members in the coming months via SFG’s professional development program and national webinars.

Mantini said: “We are very excited to be partnering with SFG and are looking forward to helping expand their brokers’ offering.

“Not only do asset finance and personal loans give brokers another opportunity to have conversations with their customers on a more regular basis – outside of their mortgage requirements – they also provide another revenue stream and increase a broker’s relevance.”

Blake Buchanan, SFG’s general manager said that the partnership will expand its brokers’ knowledge of asset finance: “This partnership will greatly enhance our brokers’ level of knowledge in asset finance and provide them with a wide variety of competitive products and services to help grow their businesses.

“We place a heavy emphasis on product knowledge to support our members’ needs, and Platform Finance’s values certainly align with this. It’s obvious the Platform Finance team knows what’s needed to succeed in this channel.”

Mantini said: “At Platform Finance we pride ourselves on the support we provide brokers and their customers to navigate asset finance. And that includes giving brokers the education and training they need to understand asset finance and engage with it with confidence.

“Our programs are certainly tried and tested, and we have been doing this for so long that we understand the psyche of mortgage brokers and what they need to achieve results with their customers.”

The partnership follows the announcement that Platform Finance WA has been rebranded as COG Aggregation WA (COG WA) to combine COG and Platform Finance’s aggregation and referral arms under a singular brand.
