Barry Plant appoints new GM

by Huntley Mitchell7 minute read

Barry Plant Financial Services (BPFS), the broking arm of real estate network Barry Plant Group, has announced the appointment of its new general manager.

David Hyde will step into the role at the Victoria-based brokerage with 30 years’ experience in finance and real estate. Most recently, he was the head of lending and broking at CUA, and has previously held senior roles at Westpac.

BPFS chief executive Mike McCarthy said Mr Hyde’s appointment represents an elevation in the importance of the general manager role given his seniority in previous positions.

“We have spent two-and-a-half years building BPFS to the point where it is a solid business,” he said. “David is the person to take the business to next level from where it is now established.”

Mr Hyde said his key objective is to provide Barry Plant’s ‘Red Carpet Experience’ beyond its real estate network.

“I want to leverage Barry Plant’s excellent reputation in the real estate industry to showcase how diverse Barry Plant Financial Services [is],” he said.
