Commercial Finance Awards launches in 2025

7 minute read

Submissions and nominations are now open for the Commercial Finance Awards 2025, run in partnership with principal partner Judo Bank.

Following a blockbuster debut in 2024, the Commercial Finance Awards program returns to recognise the leading individuals, brokerages, and aggregation groups across Australia.

Small- to medium-sized businesses are the engine room of the economy, but the brokers, BDMs, and companies providing the finance are undoubtedly the fuel that keeps the engine turning.

Now in its second year, the Commercial Finance Awards program is back to celebrate the best of the best in business finance, from individual brokers to loan administrators, aggregators, business development managers, and service providers.

Take the first step to being recognised at a national level and submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague and/or business by Friday, 29 August 2025, for a chance to secure this prestigious accolade.

This year, there are a total of 23 categories to choose from, including 13 individual and nine group categories.

The individual categories include Asset Finance Broker of the Year, Commercial Mortgage Broker of the Year, Agricultural Finance Broker of the Year, and Cash Flow Finance Broker of the Year.

Industry thought leaders and rising stars will also be rewarded for their contributions to the industry.

Group categories are also on offer to a range of businesses, including accounting practices, finance brokerages, aggregators, cash flow brokerages, and development finance brokerages.

Some of the group categories include Accounting Practice of the Year, Commercial Aggregator of the Year, and Development Finance Brokerage of the Year.

By entering the Commercial Finance Awards, candidates will not only gain national recognition for their achievements but could also distinguish themselves and their organisations from competitors when attracting and retaining clients and talent.

For individuals, winning an award could also underpin career and personal advancement.

The winners will be announced at a cocktail ceremony on Friday, 21 November 2025, at the Four Seasons in Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

The cocktail luncheon will bring together industry leaders to honour the achievements of the high-performing professionals and businesses in commercial and asset finance broking.

Attendees will have the rare opportunity to network with industry leaders, colleagues, and peers while celebrating industry excellence.

Finalists will be announced on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, so keep an eye out for your name on the list.

The Commercial Finance Awards program, in conjunction with event stakeholders Accountants Daily, The Adviser, Momentum Media, and a panel of leading commercial finance professionals, has developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing, and benchmarking Australia’s leading commercial finance professionals and businesses. The judging criteria for award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and contribution to Australia’s commercial finance sector.

All businesses and professionals that meet eligibility criteria from across Australia’s commercial finance industry are encouraged to participate in the awards program.
