What is the Women in Finance Awards?

The Women in Finance Awards program has set the benchmark for excellence for almost a decade, recognising the outstanding contributions made by leading women in finance.

For the past nine years, the national awards program has celebrated the top-performing women influencing Australia’s financial services industry, acknowledging entrepreneurs and CEOs from accounting, banking, broking, financial planning, and the wider finance market.

This year, there are a total of 29 submission-based categories on offer, including 24 individual and five group categories.

Individual categories include CEO of the Year, Director of the Year, Regional Professional of the Year, and Entrepreneur of the Year.

The group categories include Employer of the Year, Training and Development Program of the Year, Women's Community Program of the Year, and more.

The winners of the awards will be announced in a cocktail ceremony on the evening of Friday, 14 November 2025, at Hyatt Regency Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

The highest-scoring individual winner will walk away with the coveted Excellence Award.

Why submit?

The Women in Finance Awards program was created to identify and celebrate top female talent in the typically male-dominated financial services sector.

By highlighting successful women, the awards help provide visibility to the women leading the way in senior finance roles and inspire more women to join and succeed in finance.

The awards also amplify the companies in finance that are promoting broader diversity and inclusion.

Since its inception nine years ago, many innovative professionals and businesses have capitalised on the Women in Finance Awards to distinguish themselves ahead of the competition.

For organisations, winning one of the coveted awards can help attract and retain top talent, while the recognition can also help cement an individual’s position as a leader in finance and underpin career advancement.

How are awards judged?

The Women in Finance Awards program, in conjunction with event stakeholders and a panel of leading female finance professionals, has developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing, and benchmarking Australia’s leading finance professionals. The judging criteria for award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and contribution to Australia’s finance sector.

All businesses and professionals that meet eligibility criteria from across Australia’s finance industry are encouraged to participate in the awards program.
