IN MAY, Loanoptions.ai hosted the Battle of the Fast Fintechs track day at Luddenham racetrack.
The day — sponsored by Angle Finance, MONEYME, Moneytech, Wardle Consultancy Services, Score Up, FBAA, Plenti, Credit Fix Solutions and The Adviser — saw fintech leaders battle to set the fastest race time in a Tesla (kindly volunteered by Loanoptions.ai founder and chief executive Julian Fayad), all while delivering a 60-second pitch about the solutions their company provides.
The afternoon aimed to help showcase how fintechs are accelerating SME finance for the broker channel.
Women of Influence
IN MAY, the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia ran a Women of Influence event — Women, Broking, and the Economy, supported by Mortgage Choice.
The panel discussion included PropTrack senior economist Eleanor Creagh, Mortgage Choice brokers Fiona Manley and Jen Hughes, and moderator Jane Counsel.
The session focused on women’s access to lending and property investments as well as how interest rate rises, the ‘fixed-rate cliff’, strong employment, and other economic trends shaping conversations with women borrowers across the country.
The sold-out event and all-women panel answered some great questions from delegates and provided a fantastic opportunity to put the focus on women in broking.
