Genworth Australia has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer, effective from today.

Paul Fegan joins Genworth with more than 30 years of global experience in broad-based financial services with National Australia Bank (NAB), St. George Bank, and AMP.

Speaking about the appointment, Genworth Australia’s president and CEO, Ellie Comerford said Mr Fegan was a seasoned financial services executive with a proven track record of achieving solid results for shareholders.

“Paul brings with him strong leadership experience, financial acumen, and a market reputation that will be invaluable as we continue our efforts to deliver on our strategic priorities as well as our commitments to our customers and shareholders,” Ms Comerford said.

Since 2009, Mr. Fegan has been a non-executive director of AMP Limited and in 2010 became Chairman of the Board Audit Committee. Previously, he also was group managing director, Strategy and Corporate Services, for Telstra Corporation Limited.
