Efficiency equals profitability: CBA

4 minute read
The Adviser

Jessica Darnbrough

Brokers who want to maximise their profits should look at ways to increase office efficiency, CBA’s Sam Boer has claimed.

Speaking to The Adviser, Mr Boer, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s general manager, broker sales, said the best way for brokers to make extra money is to refine their office procedures.

“The industry really isn’t growing,” he said. “The third party distribution channel is going to write about the same number of loans next year as they did this year.”

“As such, it is hard for brokers to grow their revenue when the overall pie isn’t growing. This is where CBA comes in.

“We can help brokers free up their time so that they can concentrate on things such as networking and building up their referral base through programs like Kaizen [a program supported by CBA designed to allow brokers to improve their office structure and processes].”
