BankWest could be up for sale as rumour circulates that its parent company HBOS is coming under severe cost pressures.
The Herald Sun reported today that BankWest has pulled out of several lease deals on properties earmarked for branch locations because of funding difficulties faced by HBOS.
According to a source to the paper the conjecture is that the bank would be sold “for the right price”.
