NAB will provide up to $1 million to assist indigenous banking services in the Northern Territory, it announced today.

NAB executive director and chief executive said that the bank would provide the funding to Traditional Credit Union (TCU) and together the institutions would explore ways to address financial exclusions of Indigenous Australians.

Under the arrangement NAB will provide TCU with interest free loans of up to $1 million to fund new branch openings across remote areas of the Northern Territory, providing financial services for more than 3,250 Indigenous customers.
