Household Capital has appointed former Bendigo and Adelaide Bank head of broker Natalie Sheehan as its new chief growth officer.
Retirement funding specialist Household Capital has appointed former Bendigo and Adelaide Bank head of broker and strategic partnerships Natalie Sheehan as its new chief growth officer.
The non-bank lender announced the appointment on Wednesday (4 November), giving Sheehan responsibility for its revenue and market expansion strategy, with a particular emphasis on the broker channel and strategic partnerships.
Sheehan joins after three and a half years at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, bringing experience spanning bank and non-bank lending, distribution leadership and broker governance.
From broker-channel transformation to executive growth
Household Capital credited Sheehan with helping steer Bendigo’s broker business through its transition from the Adelaide Bank brand to the Bendigo Bank broker proposition.
It said she also championed the introduction of a modern lending platform that delivered more than $8.8 billion in new lending through the third-party channel.
Alongside those responsibilities, she chaired the bank’s broker compliance committee.
Previously, Sheehan was head of distribution at Brighten Home Loans from 2020 to 2023, following sales and business development positions at Resimac, Pepper Money, and Resicom Financial.
Explaining the importance of intermediary relationships to its expansion, Household Capital said greater collaboration with brokers would help extend access to its retirement funding products.
“The broker network is central to Household Capital’s mission, by collaborating closely with advisers and trusted partners, we can broaden our footprint and ensure even more Australians have access to the purposeful, innovative home equity solutions they need to transition into retirement with total financial confidence,” it said.
Retirement funding ambitions underpin the move
Sheehan welcomed the opportunity to take an executive role as Household Capital pursues its next stage of growth and said the lender’s focus on Australians’ financial circumstances in retirement aligned with her personal priorities.
“I am absolutely thrilled to join the executive team at Household Capital at such a pivotal moment in the company’s growth,” she said.
“Helping Australians achieve financial confidence in their later years is a mission I care deeply about.
“I truly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live well in retirement, and access to innovative, purposefully designed financial products is key to unlocking that potential.”
Chief executive Josh Funder said Sheehan’s industry experience and relationships would support the lender’s expansion.
“As Australians increasingly look to home equity to enhance retirement housing and funding and achieve financial wellbeing, Natalie’s experience, with a passion for customer-first innovation and deep broker relationships will help accelerate Household Capital’s growth,” he said.
“We recently closed our third RMBS securitisation, won the Finder Investment Innovation award and was named as an AFR Boss Innovation Awards finalist for our AAA-rated reverse mortgage-backed securities. Natalie’s appointment will help us further build on our strengths and successes.”
The appointment follows completion of the $304 million HHC 2026-1 RMBS Trust, the lender’s third residential mortgage-backed securities transaction.
