The non-bank lender has added senior distribution capability as interest in later-life lending builds.

Non-bank home equity release lender Inviva has appointed lending executive Lino Pelaccia as its new regional manager, southern, expanding its partnerships team as it pursues growth in the specialist later-life lending market.

Pelaccia joins the lender with more than 35 years of financial-services experience across private credit, non-bank lending, mortgage distribution, and major Australian banking institutions.

Inviva said that the appointment would provide it with senior representation across Victoria, Tasmania, Western Australia, and South Australia, where Pelaccia would be charged with growing the lender’s presence, building relationships, and supporting its broader national expansion plans.

Distribution experience

Before joining Inviva, Pelaccia was executive director and head of sales at Australian Private Mortgages.

In that role, he oversaw national sales strategy and distribution initiatives, and Inviva said he played a major role in broadening the private lender’s offering and lifting engagement with its broker network.

His career also includes senior leadership positions with ME Bank, NAB, HomeLoans Limited, Homeside Lending, Colonial Wholesale Financial Services, and Advance Bank/St George Bank.

Rob Ryan, general manager partnerships at Inviva, said the hire formed part of the lender’s effort to build out the team supporting its growth plans.

“Lino’s appointment is another important step in building a high-calibre partnership team to support Inviva’s growth ambitions,” Ryan said.

Southern expansion focus

Ryan said Pelaccia’s depth of industry experience and established relationships would be particularly relevant as Inviva expands its proposition across the southern states.

“Lino brings to Inviva an incredible amount of experience across all sectors of the finance industry. His tenure, seniority and long-term partnerships within the mortgage industry will serve Inviva well in building out our proposition across Victoria, Tasmania, Western Australia and South Australia,” he said.

Founded in January 2024, Inviva provides home equity release loans to home owners aged over 55, enabling eligible customers to access part of the equity held in their property.

The lender said the latest appointment came as awareness of, and demand for, home equity release solutions continued to rise.
