Solomons Capital welcomes national BDM

6 minute read

The private lender has named its new national business development manager, who will lead broker engagement and distribution across Australia.

Solomons Capital Australia (Solomons Capital) has appointed Lili Barron (née Amphone) as its national business development manager, effective August 2025.

Barron brings nearly two decades of experience across broking and lending. She has previously held business development roles at Bridgit, Deposit Power, and ME Bank, where she worked for four years between 2019 and 2023. She has also worked at Suncorp, Homeloans Ltd, Australian First Mortgage (afM), Better Choice Home Loans, and Pepper Money.

Before moving into business development, Barron worked as a finance broker and has also been involved in loan processing, credit support, frontline lending, and mortgage structuring.

In her new role at Solomons Capital, Barron will lead national broker engagement and distribution, supporting brokers across Australia and helping the lender expand its reach.

She will focus on providing guidance through complex lending scenarios, offering practical solutions, and ensuring smooth transaction outcomes for clients.

Commenting on Barron’s appointment, Steven Galdona, who joined the lender as director of credit and operations last year, said: “Lili’s addition to the team strengthens our ability to scale relationships and provide brokers with the confidence that their clients will be looked after from start to finish. Her experience across broking and banking complements our existing capabilities and positions us strongly as we continue to grow our capital business.”

Barron added: “Brokers want more than just a lender – they want a partner who understands the pressures of the industry and can provide solutions quickly and reliably. At Solomons Capital, we focus on making transactions work, particularly those that are urgent, complex, or time-sensitive.”
