Pepper Money announces senior appointments in Victoria

9 minute read

Nick Green, the former head of distribution at Podium Money and Oak Capital, has joined the non-bank as its southern regional manager.

Non-bank lender has today (18 August) welcomed Green to its team as its new southern regional manager for Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory, taking over the position left vacant by Adam Croucher (who recently joined Westpac).

Green has more than 17 years of experience in the financial services space, working closely with brokers at brokerages, lenders, and aggregators.

He was most recently the head of distribution and partnerships at Melbourne-based brokerage Podium Money, a position he held for the past year following his 3.5 years as head of strategic partnerships/distribution at private lender Oak Capital.

Green has also worked in broker-facing roles at ING Australia and Advantedge and in mortgage teams at ANZ and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).

In his new role at Pepper Money, Green will help drive deeper partnerships with brokers and aggregators. The non-bank said his “intimate understanding of commercial lending is especially valuable as Pepper Money strategically positions itself on this rapidly expanding market”.

His appointment reflects a deliberate focus on growing Pepper Money’s presence in commercial lending alongside its strong residential offering, ensuring brokers and clients benefit from tailored solutions in both sectors.

Pepper Money’s general manager, mortgages and commercial lending, Barry Saoud, commented: “Nick’s leadership experience across distribution, aggregation, and strategic partnerships makes him a fantastic fit to lead our Southern region into its next chapter.”

Commenting on his appointment, Green said: “What drew me to Pepper Money is their reputation in the industry that’s hard to match; making it a trusted choice for brokers across the country. It’s the genuine commitment to being helpful, the can-do attitude to helping brokers get the deal done, and the energy of the team that I’ve always admired. It’s not just about a great proposition, it’s about the people; and Pepper Money is known for exactly that.

“Stepping into the role of regional manager for our southern states and territory is a fantastic opportunity, and I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead. There’s enormous potential for brokers across the region, and I’m excited about helping that growth flourish.”

As well as a new regional manager, Pepper has also welcomed a new senior business development manager (BDM) to the Victoria team today.

Vince Gaggiano has joined Pepper Money after almost a decade working at Advantedge (which is being subsumed into National Australia Bank [NAB]).

Gaggiano has more than 27 years of experience in banking and broker relationships and was recently a finalist for Lender BDM of the Year (Non-Bank) at The Adviser’s 2025 Better Business Awards Victoria/Tasmania.

Saoud welcomed the new senior BDM to the team, stating that with his appointment, Pepper Money was “bolstering [its] ability to provide personalised, solutions-driven support to brokers throughout the state.”

Speaking of his new role, Gaggiano commented: “Pepper Money’s reputation as Australia’s leading non-bank lender was a huge drawcard for me. When it comes to non-bank lending, Pepper Money isn’t just in the game; it’s leading it. With a reputation for reliability, consistency, and innovation, it’s become the household name of non-banks.”

Pepper Money said that the two new appointments reflect the non-bank lender’s ongoing investment in people and broker experience.

“We’re currently experiencing a strong rate of growth and aspire to continue this positive trajectory for the future, and these strategic appointments are central to accelerating that momentum,” Saoud said.

“We’re thrilled to welcome both Nick and Vince to our growing team in Victoria. They bring deep industry experience, energy, and broker-first thinking to their roles – qualities that align strongly with our commitment to providing brokers with fast, flexible, and consistent experiences.

“We remain focused on strengthening our presence and supporting our brokers and their clients with helpful loan options – for even the most complex scenarios.

“Our team of state managers, BDMs, and relationship managers play a critical role in ensuring we continue to deliver a market-leading experience for our broker partners across the country….

“We remain ambitious and excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to expand our footprint and innovate in broker support.”
