“Many commentators, including ASIC, are remarking on the relatively low number of completed ACL applications compared to the number of Credit Registrations pre July. This has caused many to question whether a lot of Brokers may have left it too late to lodge their ACL. In fact there is even concern that Aggregators may not be able to process all Brokers as Credit Representatives before 31 December,” I-Financial’s managing director Craig Morgan said.
“To assist with this potential dilemma, we have introduced a streamlined processing system to ensure that any Broker who applies to be appointed as a Credit Representative under I-Financial will have their Application fully processed within 5 working days.”
According to Mr Morgan, the company is so confident that it can process a broker’s application in this time frame that is has guaranteed to provide free PI insurance to a broker if their application isn’t passed in the five days.
“But while this will prove to be a powerful motivating factor, brokers should continue to choose our licensing programme for all of the right reasons,” Mr Morgan said.
