According to Prospa, Mr Winters will lead the expansion of the Queensland team and will be responsible for building and leveraging new and existing partnerships across the state.

Prior to his BDM role at Prospa, Mr Winters held roles at Gateway Credit Union, Suncorp and Citi.

Co-founder and joint CEO Beau Bertoli congratulated Mr Winters on his new role within the business.

“Simon has played an integral role in building Prospa’s partner network, with strong relationships, a passion for small business and commitment to delivering great customer experiences for partners and their small-business clients...

“We’re thrilled he is stepping into this new position to support Prospa’s growth in Queensland,” he said.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Winters stated: “It’s exciting to be expanding our support for the Queensland broker community and to take this next step in my career.

“I’m looking forward to adding even greater value to our partner network and to helping more brokers out there uncover the opportunities in small-business lending.

“I really encourage Queensland brokers to get in touch and learn how we can help them grow their business.”

Prospa also announced that Goncalo Almeida has joined Clare Gallimore in the Queensland team as a new BDM.

Mr Almeida, who previously held similar roles at American Express and GE Capital, will focus on supporting Prospa’s partner network in Queensland and assist brokers in order to better serve their small-business clients.
