The non-major has joined an online mortgage broker’s lender panel.

ME has announced it has joined the lender panel of online mortgage broker uno Home Loans.

According to ME, the partnership with uno Home Loans represents the first online mortgage broker affiliation for the bank.

ME’s chief executive Jamie McPhee said the partnership with uno forms part of the bank’s efforts to broaden its reach of home loans to new customers.

“The broker channel is fundamental for ME to deliver on our core purpose of helping all Australians get ahead, as a big part of that involves getting people into home ownership,” Mr McPhee said.

“Uno might be small today but it has big plans, and ME is excited to be part of their plan to deliver a home loan experience that truly puts the interests of customers first.”

Mortgage brokers contribute more than 70 per cent of ME’s new home loan sales, Mr McPhee said.

Uno CEO Anthony Justice said: “We are excited to be working with ME as they have a great purpose-led brand set on helping everyday Australians.

“ME has created a unique set of products and policy which seek to offer home loan customers genuine savings and flexibility – a great alignment with our offer.”
