St George beefs up third party team

St George has underpinned its commitment to the broker channel with the recent appointment of a new head of partnerships for intermediary distribution.

Shane Davis, previously the bank’s head of licensed mobile home lending business, was recently appointed to the new position.

The bank’s general manager intermediary distribution Steven Heavey said Mr Davis' responsibilities will include building relationships with aggregators on a day-to-day operational level and supporting closer relationships with aggregator partners.

“This newly-created role will ensure St George maintains a close relationship with our aggregator partners,” Mr Heavey said.

“Mr Davis will also be looking to work closely with both our business partners and internal stakeholders to drive a consistent national approach across the retail and commercial intermediary markets, in addition to identifying opportunities to strengthen business performance.”
