ANZ today announced that it will cut its variable rate by 0.25 per cent only days after slashing rates by 0.80 per cent.
According to a report in Reuters late this afternoon, the quarter per cent cut will be effective from Monday October 27.
The bank accredited the move to improvements in wholesale funding markets as recent policy measures in Australia and overseas boosted investor tor confidence.
