Labour market tightens, again

The national unemployment rate dropped again in February to four per cent, seasonally adjusted.

Figures released by the ABS this morning showed that the number of employed persons rose by approx 36,000 in February to 10.66 million, up from 10.63 million the month prior.

The number of unemployed persons also fell by 16,800 to 440,900.
