Smartphone brand realme will enter the consumer finance market in Australia through Make It Mine.

Chinese smartphone brand realme will launch four devices in Australia while simultaneously entering the consumer finance market in Australia.

The smartphone brand, which was founded in May 2018 by former OPPO vice president Sky Li, will work closely with consumer finance provider Make It Mine to enable consumers access to realme products through its platform.

The brand, which has more than 10 million users worldwide in 18 markets, will launch four devices in Australia on 17 October.

Realme Australian managing director Andy Yang noted that the brand had attracted 10 million users in 15 months.

“Young people don’t need to spend a fortune to access high-quality phones with larger battery life and storage, rapid charging and superior camera technology,” Mr Yang said.

“Our customers are young and brave, and we’re excited to share our innovations with Australian consumers.”

The four devices will range from $200 to $500 and will be sold online via the websites of traditional retailers.

Realme is powered by OPPO, with the new brand sharing the production line, supply chain and its ColorOS system. It, however, has its own research and development facilities and independent design team.
