Industry's best named at state-based awards

South Australia’s leading mortgage professionals have been honoured at The Adviser’s Better Business Awards in Adelaide.

In the reginal categories, Directional Finance took home the gong for Best Regional Office and Travis Hole from Zobel Mout Gambier was crowned Best Regional Broker.

The state’s best new brokers were also named on Friday night, with Ben Spyker of KeyInvest Lending Services taking the trophy for Best Newcomer and Weng Wong of Equatorial Finance Solutions this year’s Rising Star.

The Editor’s Choice award was presented to Go Loans, that proved once again to be a driving force in the South Australian broker industry after taking the award home in 2015.

Last year’s Best Finance Broker Tom Caesarowicz from Positive Lending Solutions took the trophy again this year, while the Best Residential Broker award went to Cathy Anderson from Smartline Blackwood.

Ms Anderson was also named South Australia’s Broker of the Year for 2016.

In the broker support categories, AFG’s Debbie Ettridge won the award for the Best Aggregator BDM, while Adam Pisani from Westpac was named Best Lender BDM at the gala event on Friday night.

Aussie Prospect took the gong for South Australia’s Best Branded Office, while KeyInvest Lending Services was crowned the winner of the Best Customer Service (Office) award.

Best Independent Office (5 or less brokers) was awarded to Rise High Financial Solutions for the second year running and Best Independent Office (more than 5 brokers) was awarded to Positive Lending Solutions.

Afirm Financial’s Shauna van der Weegen was named South Australia’s Best Loan Administrator for the second consecutive year.
