Industry innovators awarded for efficiency

Three Australian financial service providers have been recognised for their innovation at an awards ceremony hosted by major aggregator PLAN Australia.

The Local Loan Company, FINWEB Finance Group and Kingston Capital Services were winners of the 2017 Achievement and Innovation awards.

The Local Loan Company, a Perth-based financial services provider, was rewarded for its integration of social media platforms, its new-look website and the success of its YouTube webinars produced to inform clients.

Melbourne’s FINWEB Group was praised for its savvy technological investments, its new website and the launch of a new app.


Sydney aggregator Kingston Capital Services was lauded for its diversification, which included the recruitment of new brokers, the launch of its new asset finance and advisory divisions and its integration of technology in its business practices.

In her address at the awards ceremony, PLAN Australia CEO Anja Pannek congratulated the winners for their success.

“We are operating in a dynamic and challenging environment, where a focus on innovation to improve customer outcomes and business productivity are essential.

“We would like to congratulate all of our winners, who have each demonstrated excellence in innovation, thinking outside the box to streamline and grow their businesses and deliver
excellent outcomes for their clients.”

Ms Pannek also praised the winner of the CEO Achievement Award, Lending Specialists CEO Barry Oxley.

“Barry has built an incredibly successful business of significant size during his broking career, which has spanned almost two decades,” Ms Pannek said.

“He is an innovator, an inspirer and someone prepared to both challenge and be challenged, and we are proud he is part of PLAN Australia.”
