More than 250 finalists have been named in The Adviser’s national awards program, the Australian Broking Awards 2026.
The finalists have been revealed for the 16th annual Australian Broking Awards 2026, run in partnership with principal partner National Australia Bank (NAB).
Building on The Adviser’s state-based awards program, the Better Business Awards, the national program recognises the outstanding achievements of brokers and brokerages from across the country that are adapting to the evolving needs of their clients with professionalism, care, and innovation.
In the 16th annual awards program, the national finalist list features 257 high-achieving professionals and businesses across 29 submission-based categories.
Those recognised as individual finalists included residential brokers, asset finance brokers, commercial brokers, loan administrators, mentors, industry thought leaders, and more.
In the group awards, individual offices, aggregators, brokerages, and technology services providers are also being championed.

What is the Australian Broking Awards program?
With a record proportion of home buyers and businesses turning to brokers for support, the 16th annual Australian Broking Awards – run in partnership with NAB – recognises the leading brokers, brokerages, and aggregation groups across the third-party channel.
It builds on the state-based winners of The Adviser’s Better Business Awards, run across the five states earlier in the year.
The Australian Broking Awards program provides a platform for professionals to gain nationwide recognition. Being named a finalist of an Australian Broking award can build professional credibility and elevate recipients above their peers in a competitive broking landscape.
The Australian Broking Awards program features a highly regarded judging panel to foster peer-reviewed recognition of participants’ capabilities and expertise in driving the industry forward.
To determine the winners, the finalists’ submissions are delivered to a panel of respected professionals and business leaders, who will assess each submission against the criteria of each award category.
The judging criteria for award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and contribution to Australia’s mortgage and finance sector.
The judges score each part of the submission across the category’s criteria, giving an aggregated score. A number of judges individually assess each submission for each category, offering a blended score and assessment.
The combined judging scores for each submission in each category are tabulated, with the highest-scoring submission deemed the winner.
The highest-scoring individual broker winner will be crowned Broker of the Year at the end of the awards program.
