Winners crowned at Better Business Awards WA

The Western Australian-based winners have been announced for the annual Better Business Awards.

Western Australian mortgage and finance broking professionals gathered on Thursday night (26 March 2026) at Crown Perth for the 13th annual Better Business Awards 2026.

Run in partnership with principal partner National Australia Bank (NAB), the Better Business Awards program celebrates excellence in the mortgage and finance industry, showcasing professionals and businesses that have made significant contributions over the last financial year.

Australian satirist and comedian, Mark Humphries, performed emcee duties, providing light and laughter throughout the evening, in which a total of 21 winners were announced, including the recipient of the coveted Broker of the Year and Editor’s Choice awards.

 
 

Hundreds of finalists across Western Australia battled it out for trophies across individual and group categories, with the highest-scoring individual winner being crowned the coveted Broker of the Year award in each state.

The range of winners spanned brokers, brokerages, loan administrators, business development managers (BDM), large and boutique franchise and non-franchise offices, as well as industry thought leaders and mentors.

Balpreet Bal of Loan Market Bal & Associates was awarded Broker of the Year, having also walked away with the Best Residential Broker award earlier in the night in recognition of his high-volume and high-satisfaction work.

Max Miorada of Momentum Wealth was crowned Editor’s Choice in recognition of his excellent customer service serving property investor clients with smiling service.

Other individual winners included: Adam Donald of Capita Finance, who took home the trophy for Best Customer Service (individual), Tamara Virgo of TV Financial Services as Regional Broker of the Year, Daniel Reid of Emanate Finance was crowned Best Finance Broker while Peta Elliott of Loan Market Peta Elliott was celebrated as WA’s New Broker of the Year.

Some of the group winners included Focused on Finance as Best Regional Office, Resolve Finance as Best Customer Service (Office), and Indoz Finance Australia as Best Community Engagement Program.

BDMs were also celebrated on the night, including Corinna Galpin of Bankwest as Best Lender BDM (Bank), Linda Fraser of Pepper Money and Sanil Shah of AFG as Best Aggregator BDM.
