Mortgage Domayne appoints seasoned financial services executive Andrew Gooding as COO.
Broking industry stalwart Gooding has joined Victoria-based brokerage Mortgage Domayne as chief commercial officer.
The seasoned financial services executive began in the new role in July and is responsible for driving growth, establishing new revenue channels, and maximising the commercial potential of Mortgage Domayne’s operations.
Gooding has a wide range of experience across financial services and broking, most recently serving as chief marketing officer of Perth-based finance brokerage Nationwise Group.
He also served as CEO of open banking fintech diñeiro and as marketing director for aggregation giants PLAN Australia, Choice Aggregation Services, and FAST.
Gooding also held senior executive roles within brokerages and spent almost three years at National Australia Bank (NAB), where he rose to head of growth enablement.
Melbourne-based Mortgage Domayne said Gooding’s experience gave him a deep understanding of the end-to-end broker ecosystem.
Mark Polatkesen, Mortgage Domayne’s managing director, commented: “I’ve known Andrew for several years, and we’ve often found ourselves deep in conversation about business strategy, industry change, and how to create real value in broking.
“He’s an exceptional leader with the rare ability to blend strategic insight with operational execution.
“We’re excited to welcome him to the team as we scale the next phase of our growth and continue to innovate within the mortgage broking industry.”
Commenting on his appointment, Gooding added: “I’ve long been aware of Mortgage Domayne’s potential, and it’s clear the time is right to lean into the next phase of the business.
“The foundations are solid – a respected brand, strong leadership, great people, and consistent lead flow.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Mark and the team to help accelerate growth, open new opportunities, and support the business in reaching its full potential.”
Mortgage Domayne, led by broker director Polatkesen, was named as the exclusive broker partner for home building giant Metricon in November 2024.
Under the partnership, Mortgage Domayne’s team (now including around 20 employed brokers) offers Metricon customers access to tailored mortgage products and helps them “fast-track their home building journey with competitive rates and personalised support”, the construction company said.
