The Adviser and Accountants Daily will launch SME Bootcamp 2025 to guide brokers and accountants to win more business in a challenging market.
Powered by The Adviser and its sister brand Accountants Daily, the bootcamp has announced the dates for the SME Bootcamp 2025, run with support from principal partner Maxiron Capital.
The bootcamp – which will be held in the Gold Coast, Sydney, and Melbourne across September – is designed to arm brokers and accountants with the technical skills and knowledge they require to help their small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients with their tax and financing needs and become their trusted advisers.
The free-to-attend summit equips accountants and mortgage brokers with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to remain relevant, valuable, and proactive as trusted advisers to SME clients in a changing market.
Last year, the event attracted over 1,000 delegates across the three states, with this year’s SME Bootcamp expecting to draw another record turnout.
SME Bootcamp returns in 2025 to help brokers and accountants leverage the opportunities to serve, support, and grow their client base in the current economic cycle.
The 2025 event focuses on one powerful idea – opportunity is always there. As economic conditions tighten, business owners are facing increasing pressure on margins, cash flow, and confidence.
Facilitated by SME finance specialists and Accendo partners John Sgambelluri and Trent Carter, delegates will learn from their combined decades of experience working with brokers, bankers, and business owners across Australia.

Why attend?
Through real-world insights and proven frameworks, the bootcamp includes educational sessions and fireside discussions on how to anticipate the needs of business owners, read between the lines of financial statements, and offer funding solutions that add real value.
The free event will kick off with a powerful session exploring how to position yourself and your clients for success, regardless of economic conditions.
This opening session, titled ‘Cycle-proof your business: Making money in any stage of the economic cycle’, will teach participants how to spot opportunity in uncertain times, build financial resilience, and turn market challenges into revenue.
Up next will be ‘Translating financial success measures: Qualify opportunities, gain indicative support and build lender confidence,’ a panel designed to help brokers and accountants turn client insight into action.
In this session, panellists will unpack how to quickly assess the viability of a deal, engage lenders with confidence, and streamline processes from discovery to mandate.
The event will also include a session focused on how to present to lenders with impact, teaching delegates how to structure and deliver a compelling finance submission that positions them as a professional and their clients as a worthy borrower.
Looking through the lens of real case studies, the SME Bootcamp will also reveal how to unlock the full potential of every client relationship by outlining how to build more revenue from existing client bases.
The free bootcamp is designed for collaboration with dedicated morning and lunch networking sessions to encourage connection among industry leaders, lenders, aggregators, and peers.
The SME Bootcamp 2025 will be held in the following locations:
-
Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, Melbourne on Thursday, 11 September
-
Mantra on View Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast on Tuesday, 16 September
-
Le Montage, Sydney on Thursday, 18 September
