Australian Broking Awards launches for 2025

7 minute read

Submissions and nominations are now open for the highly anticipated Australian Broking Awards 2025.

The Adviser is pleased to announce the launch of this year’s Australian Broking Awards, run in partnership with principal partner, NAB.

The 15th annual awards program acknowledges the leading brokers, brokerages and aggregation groups paving the way in the Australian mortgage industry.

With mortgage stress and economic uncertainty disrupting the housing market over the last few years, brokers have stepped up to support Australian borrowers through the changing environment. And a record proportion of home buyers are turning to the channel for support.

Building on the state-based Better Business Awards earlier in the year, the national awards program celebrates the hard work and dedication of brokers from across the country in adapting to the evolving needs of their clients.

Professionals and businesses across the broking industry are encouraged to submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague or business by Friday, 6 June 2025.

What are the awards?

There are 29 categories on offer, with 12 individual and 17 group categories designed to recognise the breadth of talent across the broking industry.

Individual categories are available for residential brokers, asset finance brokers, commercial brokers, finance brokers, loan administrators, mentors, industry thought leaders, and more.

Categories include Rising Star, Customer Service of the Year, New Broker of the Year, and Regional Broker of the Year. The highest-scoring individual broker winner will receive the coveted Broker of the Year Award.

Companies are also encouraged to submit an entry - whether aggregators, brokerages, or technology services providers - with group categories including Major Independent Brokerage of the Year, Training and Educational Program of the Year, and Boutique Aggregator of the Year.

The Australian Broking Awards provides a platform for professionals to gain recognition on a national scale. Being named a finalist or winner in the prestigious awards program can build professional credibility and elevate recipients above their peers in a competitive broking landscape.

How are the award winners chosen?

The awards will culminate in a lunchtime ceremony on Friday, 29 August 2025 at The Star in Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

The cocktail luncheon will provide a unique opportunity for leaders, peers, and rising stars to network amongst the industry’s best and brightest while celebrating excellence.

The Australian Broking Awards features a highly regarded judging panel to foster peer-reviewed recognition of participants' capabilities and expertise in driving the industry forward.

The awards follow a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing and benchmarking Australia’s leading mortgage professionals and businesses.

The judging criteria for award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence and contribution to Australia’s mortgage and finance sector. Click here to view the methodology.

To enter the awards, participants should decide which categories they are eligible to enter, register an account through the secure awards platform, and fill in the details of the submission/s. Once happy with the submission, press save and lodge it.

The awards are open to all individuals and businesses operating in - or supporting - the Australian broking industry.

Submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague or business by Friday, 6 June 2025 to be in the running for the prestigious awards.
