At the end of the ceremony, one individual broker winner will be selected as the winner of the prestigious national Broker of the Year Award for 2022.

The winners of the leading industry program will be announced at the esteemed cocktail luncheon event on Friday, 19 August 2022 at The Star, Sydney.

Following the awards ceremony, the broking industry can let their hair down and continue their celebrations at the after-party, while networking with their peers and revelling in their triumphs.

Run with the support of the award program’s gold and after-party partner Capital Bridging Finance, it will be held at 3:30pm at Marquee Sydney, The Star.

Congratulating the 2022 finalists, The Adviser editor Annie Kane noted that this year the Australian Broking Awards received a record number of submissions, reflecting the high level of excellence in the broking community.

“The Australian Broking Awards honour the leading lights of the mortgage and finance advisers across Australia,” Ms Kane said.

“It is our privilege to recognise and champion those leading the way in this industry and celebrate the hard work that these professionals undertake to make a real difference in Australian borrowers’ lives.

“This year, the competition is stronger than ever as brokers continue to delight borrowers and be the preferred channel of choice. After a busy year helping borrowers navigate their finance options in an extremely crowded property market – as well as ensuring that small businesses can grow and thrive – brokers are now at the forefront of helping borrowers understand and prepare for a changing economic environment.

“These awards reward the brokers and support staff for that effort and showcase the best of the best.

“We look forward to revealing the winners at the Australian Broking Awards 2022.”

Australian Broking Awards program

The Australian Broking Awards is the leading awards program in the broking industry that showcases the depth of talent across Australia’s brokerages, aggregation groups and other broking businesses in the nation’s mortgage and finance industry.

The awards program is a benchmark for excellence that recognises the exceptional contribution of professionals and businesses working within the broking industry and propelling the industry forward across 28 submission-based categories, while providing them with an opportunity to celebrate with their peers after a year of hard work and dedication to supporting their clients.

Finalists’ submissions are delivered to a panel of respected professionals and business leaders who assess each submission against the criteria of each award category.

The judges score each part of the submission across the category’s criteria, and provide an aggregated score.

A number of judges will individually assess each submission for each category, offering a blended score and assessment.

The combined judging scores for each submission for each category are tabulated, with the highest-scoring submission determined as the winner.

One winner will be announced per award category, with the trophies presented at the luncheon event.

One individual broker winner will then be chosen as the recipient of the overall Broker of the Year 2022.
